Frederik de Jager appointed Publishing Director at Penguin Books South Africa
Stephen Johnson, CEO of Penguin Books South Africa today announced the appointment of Frederik de Jager to the board of Penguin Books (South Africa) Pty Ltd.
Johnson said: “Frederik joined Penguin Books in July 2012 after developing the Umuzi imprint for which he was responsible to heights of widespread critical and commercial acclaim – in an uncommonly short period of time. Aside from the personal pleasure of working closely with Frederik once more, I know of no better nor more astute, committed publishing innovator as Penguin’s Publishing Director.
Frederik is the ideal person to spearhead Penguin’s strategy to nurture and grow our already fine reputation as the home of choice for some of the finest writers in the land.”
