Join artist Jeannette Unite for the launch of this beautiful monograph on 20 years of artistic investigation into the industrial landscape of South Africa, and especially the impact mining wrought on South African history. This monograph is beautifully illustrated and replete with fascinating essays on her work.
Jeannette will be in conversation with Dr Duncan Miller of the Archaeology Materials Laboratory.

Bekende joernalis Fred de Vries is hier om sy boek Rigtingbedonnerd bekend te stel. Oorspronklik uit Nederland, is Fred al vir 20 jaar op die spoor van die Afrikaner – as ‘n bobaas onderhoudvoerder het hy wyd en syd gereis en met uiteenlopende Afrikaners gepraat oor sake wat hulle raak, en die idee van Suid-Afrika as ‘n hedendaagse emosionele tuiste vir die Afrikaner.
Fred sal in gesprek wees met Dana Snyman.

One of the doyens of South African economics, Professor Sampie Terreblanche will be here to launch his new book, Lost in Transformation. In this follow-up to his remarkable A History of Inequality in South Africa, Professor Terreblanche uses a non-linear integrative paradigm to situate our current political economy especially in the global context of the late 1980’2 and early 1990’s.
Sampie will be in conversation with Nicoli Nattrass.
