Writivism 2019 Short Story winner – UCT student Resoketswe Manenzhe
Writivism (15 – 18 August), Uganda’s leading literary festival who
celebrates African literature also has the Writivism Short Story Prize.
This year a UCT student, Resoketswe Manenzhe, won this prestigious prize
with her short story Maserumo. Resoketswe, who is a PhD
student in Engineering, started publishing short stories and poems in
2015. Two of her poems were shortlisted for the Sol Plaatje European
Union Poetry Anthology. They were subsequently published in this
Anthology of selected poems.
